In 1995, in response to increasing demand from operating partners, the HG Capital private equity funds were formed to broaden the scope of the company's activities while simultaneously allowing outside investors to participate alongside HG principals.
The managers of the HG Capital funds have full discretion over each fund's investments, and can therefore make appropriate and timely decisions. This streamlined decision process, combined with principal involvement and a focus toward long-term relationships, has resulted in a strong proprietary deal flow for the funds. Many operating partners have built productive relationships with HG Capital and often introduce new investment opportunities to us prior to notifying the finance market in general.
